Embrace The Basics

When it comes to fashion I tend to stick to what I know and what I feel comfortable in. I would much rather walk around in a comfy pair of jeans and t-shirt than a tight fitting dress so embracing the basics is something I always stick to. By this I mean, jeans and a tee with an oversized scarf i the winter and a nice warm coat. Or a midi skirt and crop top with a nice pair of heels or sandals in the summer.
I thought it would be nice to share with you a few of my favourite basics I've been eyeing up on the high street over the past couple of weeks.

Jeans These are a staple piece that every girl needs in their wardrobe. Available in pretty much every colour jeans are the perfect base for any outfit whether it be a casual daytime look or dressed up for a nigh on the town. My favourites are the Topshop Jamie Jeans.

White Tee/Slogan Tee The perfect accompaniment to any outfit the plain white tee adds a element of street chic whilst still being nice and comfortable. My favourite basic tees are from H&M and Zara just because of the great quality and fit both brands have. Add a bit of attitude and wear a slogan tee like this one from Topshop to jazz up the classic look.

Jumper Any basic jumper is perfect to just throw over any outfit to achieve an effortless layered look. I love this Blue Jumper from H&M its the perfect colour to transfer into Spring/Summer.

Striped Midi Skirt I don't own this particular skirt however I do own something similar and it's definitely one of my favourite basics. For days where I'm feeling a little more daring and don't mind getting a bit of 'leg out' I tend to wear a figure hugging midi skirt. A great way to great a chic, classy look with minimal effort.

Mom Jeans Now these are either a love or hate it style of jeans and I just LOVE them!! I think Mom jeans look so timeless with a pair of converse and baggy jumper or tee for a casual day look or dressed up with a simple pair of strappy heels and a cropped tee.
