L'Oreal Lash Sculpt Mascara

I feel that mascara are the one thing in the drugstore that is continually updated. Everytime I visit my local Boots or Superdrug at least one brand has a newly released mascara and on this particular visit, which you can read more about here, I managed to pick up L'Oreal's new addition to their collection.

L'Oreal False Lash Sculpt claims to be more than just a mascara. L'Oreal say that in just one stroke this mascara is able to tightline, lengthen and add volume to your lashes for the perfected fanned-out look. Now when I first used this mascara I couldn't quite get used to the combed wand and found the product difficult to apply. I didn't really understand how the brush was supposed to tight line either as it just seemed to make a mess and go all over the lid. The lashes themselves didn't really hold a curl and the volume just wasn't all that good- which is a shame. But it wasn't all negative, the product itself is good, and reminds me a lot of the Maybelline Lash Sensational consistency that just glides through the lashes. One thing I did find was the narrow wand was effective for application on the bottom lashes, and I think this is how I will get the most use out of this mascara. All in all I don't really like the design of the wand, it's too comb like and its not able to add the volume I like to see from my mascara. However I will get use of this mascara to add definition to my bottom lashes. So I guess that means I will be sticking with my Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara for now.

Have you had a look at this new mascara? What did you think?
