Winter Beauty Survival Kit

Even though Winter is nearly over and Spring will, hopefully, be upon us soon, I still wanted to share with you lovely people the products I have been using to help keep my make up looking fresh and glowy. Personally I love experimenting with my makeup most in the cooler months because I find I wear less makeup throughout the Summer so I tend to mix up the products I use a lot more around Winter time. So get a cuppa and maybe a couple of biscuits and why not take a read through my recommendations.

NARS Luster Blush
Now I find in the winter months I really like to warm up my complexion so I tend to stay away from pink blushers as I think these are more suited to spring/summer. My favourite blush to wear throughout the winter time is actually quite a recent discovery as I only added this little beauty to my collection in October. NARS blushers are simply flawless, with the right amount of pigment, great blendablity and amazing choice of colours they are the best. This particular shade is a gorgeous peachy, orange tone which adds just the right amount of colour to the cheeks to help warm things up a bit.

NUXE Reve De Miel Lip Balm
As previously mentioned in my Favourites of 2015 this lip balm is definitely a staple in my winter beauty kit. It is the best lip balm I have tried for dry, chapped lips, ever and is great to condition the lips over night too. I tend to apply this lipbalm overnight when my lips are really dry and again in the morning as I complete my skincare routine.

Maybelline Dream Flawless Foundation
If you're looking for a foundation to give you perfectly healthy looking skin then look no further than this beautiful foundation. This blends seamlessly into your skin with a lovely natural sheen left on the skin. I found this the perfect lightweight foundation for winter skin as it didn't clog up my pores and allowed my skin to breath in the harsh winter weather.

Highlight. Highlight. Highlight. This is the product to have if you are looking for a soft-focus, glow on your cheekbones which is great for keeping the much needed moisture in your winter skin. I often tend to add this to my foundation to amp up the glow for those extra dull skin days or if not I apply it directly to my cheekbones and buff into the skin.
Now I promise I will stop talking about this moisturiser sometime soon but I can't believe how much it has transformed my skin. This moisturiser has bascially given life back to my dull, dry skin and helps my makeup apply so much better. If you would like to see a more in depth review then click here.

Another raved about product in the blogging world is this highlighter from The Balm. This is the first product I've tried from this brand and I have had no complaints. The  colour pay off is fantastic and it doesn't turn you into a walking glitterball like many other highlighters I've tried. I apply this highlighter along my cheekbones, on the brow bone and cupids bow to create the perfect glowing skin we all seek to achieve.
This palette is the perfect mix of brown shades which has been specially chosen for people with brown eyes. I like that this palette helps eye-shadow novices like me to simply choose the right palette based on your eye colour. The shadows themselves are actually very pigmented which is surprising for such a budget product. You are able to create multiple eye shadow looks with this one palette and I have thoroughly enjoyed using it throughout the winter.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my recommendations for some of my favourite winter beauty items. Let me know in the comments what you like wearing in winter!
