High End Makeup Haul

This post is later than originally scheduled due to a heck load of deadlines for my degree taking priority this week-sorry. However, nonetheless I am finally able to bring you a beauty post all about a few extra special beauty bits I treated myself to a few weeks ago.
Obviously being a student I have to budget and well I guess manage my money the best I can (trust me it's not easy) but I decided after a busy term at uni I deserved a treat and of course that came in the shape of new beauty products. I'd been eyeing up these beautiful products for a few months and was just waiting for the time to buy them.

I decided after using up a few old foundations I would treat myself to the new Chanel Les Beiges foundation that everyone in the beauty community seems to be raving about lately. I first noticed this product on Hello October's youtube channel and thought I'd give it a go for myself. Aside from my NARS Weightless Foundation, I only have drug store foundations in my collection, so this new high-end addition to my make up drawer is extra special. I haven't really given this product a thorough trial yet but on first glance the shade 20 is a perfect match for my skin tone and the scent is so refreshing. It blends well into the skin and leaves a dewy/ satin finish on the skin which is perfect for everyday wear. I will keep you guys updated on my opinion of this product, but so far, so good.

I am slowly but surely using up my NARS Laguna Bronzer so I decided to repurchase a slightly different product from NARS in the form of their Paloma Contour Blush Palette. On first glance this product is very similar to the Laguna bronzer however it comes with a highlight to help achieve that contoured look. Since purchasing this bronzer I've used it a couple of times and would have to say at the moment I still prefer my Laguna bronzer, however that may change after a bit more experimentation.

A bit of a different purchase for me and definitely something I haven't heard much about is the Laura Mercier Brow Definer. When browsing the internet I was searching for a brow gel that wasn't too expensive but fit into the high-end bracket. Over the past few weeks I found myself reaching for this product again and again, even over my Soap and Glory Archery Pencil, which was definitely a shock for me. If I continue to enjoy using the product over the commencing weeks I will look to do a full review on whether I would recommend it or not.

Last but not least was probably the product I was most looking forward to receiving. I'd been eyeing up the Charlotte Tilbury Feline Flick Eyeliner after reading a ton of good reviews however on first test of this product I hate to say, but I wasn't impressed. I found the formula very light in colour and it didn't really apply smoothly onto the lid. However I refuse to give this product a negative review until I've given it a full test so stay tuned to see the final verdict.

I hope you enjoyed having a peek into what I high end beauty bits I bought over the past month! Let me know what you think of any of the products I've bought, and make sure you recommend your favourite high end beauty products!

  1. Love this post! I'd been wondering about the Charlotte Tilbury liner- glad you saved me the trouble! As for the NARS, the Luminous Weightless Foundation is one of my faves, and I'm on my second Laguna bronzer! :)

    1. I'm glad this post helped you! It's a shame the eyeliner didn't really work for me but I also love the foundation and bronzer a little bit too much!

Thankyou for the lovely comment Renee!
