Top Red Lipsticks for Valentines

With February marking the month of all things lovey-dovey I thought it would be appropriate to create some beauty related content for this Valentines Day. A signature red lip is something every girl needs this Valentines Day so I've picked my top three red lips that I would definitely recommend you have a look at if you haven't already.

Left to Right: Nars Red Square, Topshop Screen Siren and Topshop Rio Rio

I've already mentioned this first product by NARS in my Nude Lip Combo post however this time we have it in the shade Red Square which is the perfect orange-toned red for Valentines. The lipstick itself is in a crayon shape rather than the traditional bullet and is easy to apply to the lips. I find this product lasts well and is not too drying on the lips as some other reviews have complained about. This lipstick is definitely for those who are wanting to splurge a little compared to the typical high street brands- maybe it could be a Valentines gift to yourself! (that's allowed right?)

The next two lipsticks are from Topshop and if you've read my blog for a few years now you'll know how much I rave about these products- check out my collection (update coming soon). For only £8 you get a lot for your money and they are gradually adding to their colour selection month my month. The affordable price of these lipsticks don't impact on their quality or the amount of time they stay on the lips. The only pet peeve I have with the lipsticks is the packaging, the white and black stripes are lovely at first, but gradually they become dirty and look very 'un-photogenic'.

The two shades I have chosen are Rio Rio and Screen Siren which are both my most repurchased red lipsticks. Rio Rio is your perfect bright red lipstick with an orange undertone with a matte finish which is non-drying on the lips. This lipstick shade is often compared to Lady Danger by Mac, which would be a great dupe saving of £7.50. Screen Siren is probably the most traditional red lipstick with a classic Hollywood style creamy finish, perfect for those who aren't used to wearing a red lip.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about my favourite red lippys for this Valentines! Let me know what you thought of my choices and whether you've tried any of the mentioned products.
