University Essentials

You may or may not know that I am currently a university student studying a Fashion Management degree. For me it's important to make sure I look, well, respectable when it comes to what I wear makeup wise so I thought it would be a good idea to put together a few of my favourite makeup items that I wear pretty much daily at university.

When it comes to wearing makeup at uni I try to choose products that help make the skin look youthful, awake and healthy. To pep up my skin I  first appl the L'Oreal Lumi Magique base to help add a lovely glow to the skin under foundation. Next up I apply a light base and for this I use the Dr. Jart+ BB Beauty Balm. The reason I use a light base is because I don't want to clog my pores or dry out my skin from wearing a heavy foundation. Unfortunately I can't seem to repurchase this BB cream anymore from boots which is a shame however I am going to test out the other BB creams in this range and see how they compare. After buffing in the base with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush I apply the Collection concealer under my eyes in a triangle shape to help lift ad brighten my eyes. I find this helps to really open up my eyes and give the illusion of a good nights sleep. On a day-to-day basis I tend to just comb through my brows but sometimes I brush the L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper through my brows for added definition. Once that is all worked into the skin I use my favourite bronzer ever NARS Laguna to lightly contour and overall bronze the face. To add a bit of colour into my face I pop on the Benefit Coralista Blush to the apples of my cheeks for a natural flush of pink. A step I never avoid is curling my lashes as this really opens up the eyes and finishes off the look- to do this I use the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers. A few coats of my favourite drugstore mascara Maybelline Lash Sensational pretty much completes the look. Last but not least I apply my everyday nude lipstick by mac in the shade Twig to the lips and I'm good to go for the day.

What are your favourite makeup items to wear at university?
