Valentines Makeup Look

When I was thinking of what content to create for Valentines I decided I wanted to create a make-up look, consisting of my favourite beauty products and make up something that could be worn this Valentines. The look itself is quite classic with cat flick on the eye and an iconic red lip that is perfect for any Valentine's look.

To create this look I used a large selection of my favourite products, the majority being drugstore, which is perfect for creating a Valentines look on a budget.

After cleansing my skin and applying my moisturiser I went in with the L'Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation which since purchasing it last month I have been loving! It gives the perfect amount of coverage without being too heavy on the skin, which is perfect for when you want you make up to last but not look too 'cakey'. To blend this into the skin I used my Real Techniques Buffing Brush which is definitely well-used and over-due a wash. As the foundation is such full coverage I didn't feel the need to add concealer on any areas of my skin, however if you were to have a few stubborn pimples then I would definitely use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. After foundation I went straight in with my bronzer and for this I used my holy grail product NARS Laguna Bronzer, which as you can see is approaching its last uses. I wanted to create a softly defined cheekbone so worked the product into the hollows of my cheeks.
After I was happy enough with my bronzer, it was time to move onto blush. Now, as this look is featuring a red lip I wanted to keep the blush natural and give the face a flush of colour, so for this I used Rimmel Santa Rose Blush. I applied this to the apples of my cheeks to add a natural flush of pink. Before moving onto eyes I wanted to tame my crazy brows and for this there was only one tool; L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper. I love using this product to add definition to my brows without them looking too 'drawn-on', so a few sweeps through the brows and you're good to go.
Now onto the last few steps, firstly the eyeliner using L'Oreal Superliner to draw a small cat flick along the top lash line. I use the side of the applicator and almost press it along the lash line to try and achieve the straightest line possible- which usually takes a few attempts. After a quick curl of my lashes and a few coats of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, a firm favourite of mine, it's time to apply the star of the show. As mentioned in last weeks post I picked out my favourite red lipsticks. I decided to feature Topshops Rio Rio in this look so you could see how much of a great colour it is on the lips.

And there we have it! You're good to go for this Valentines Day, suitable for any date even if you're just staying in and getting a Dominos- right?

What did you think of my Valentines look?
