Spring time Base

When the weather begins to become somewhat warmer I tend to change my base makeup up a bit to help let my skin breathe and let my natural complexion shine through. Spring to me screams dewy skin, natural blush and fluttery eyelashes, so today I thought I would show you what two products I've been using to create a luminous base for the transition into Spring.

I have already talked about the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation on my blog however I wanted to see if I could transition this foundation that I loved in the winter months into the spring time. I found that the foundation gives just enough coverage but I wanted something to make it more dewy. I decided to undertake a little experiment and mix this much loved foundation with my Rimmel Good To Glow Highlighter to help give it a more dewy finish. The highlighter helped add a soft glow to the foundation and didn't effect the coverage at all. I found that the foundation lasted on the skin very well throughout the day and kept the skin looking healthy which is perfect for the spring time. I applied one pump of the foundation and a pea-sized dollop of the highlighter to the back of my hand and blended them together before applying them to my face. I've been using the Louise Young Super Foundation brush to blend the base to my skin as it gives a naturally, flawless complexion.

Let me know what you've changed in your beauty regime to welcome in the Spring!
