The Budget Friendly Waterproof Eyeliner

There are a multitude of eye liners on the market, all promising different things which means for the general public it is hard to find the one the works the best. I've been on the hunt for a waterproof liner for years and I finally feel like I've found it, and bonus, it's not too expensive. Soap and Glory have done it again and produced a product that does exactly what it says on the tin- well in this case the pencil!

Product
The eye liners formula is very creamy and doesn't drag against the skin when applying. Even though the formula is very creamy it remains in place and doesn't crease at all. I use this eye liner both on my tight line to create the illusion of a fuller lash and I find it also good to create the perfect smudged eye liner look which stays put. I picked up this eye liner in black and unlike other budget eye liners I've tried in the past the colour pay off is amazing. This eye liner is a true black, none of that grey-ish, almost black, it's black which makes it worth the price tag alone.

Packaging
Soap and Glory being a high street brand tend to keep their packaging very minimal but classic to their brand image. The iconic pink typography stands out against the plain black pencil which makes its easily recognisable in your make up collection. One nifty feature of this product is the built in sharpener which is hidden in the lid of the product. This is particularly useful for someone like me who always looses pencil sharpeners and ends up with a drawer full of blunt lip and eye pencils.

The Verdict
Ultimately, the Smoulder Khol is certainly one to swatch when you're next in your local Boots store. If you're on the hunt for the perfect eye liner that doesn't break the bank then this is definitely the eye liner to pick up from the high street. Why not celebrate Soap and Glory's 10 year anniversary and get buy one get one half price on all their makeup and beauty products.

Let me know if you've tried this eye liner and your views on it in the comments below.

  1. I love S&G products, think they are some of the best at the Drugstore. Especially enjoying the One Heck of a Blot Primer and Foundation at the moment. Definitely going to be giving this a swatch when I am next in store - really need a better waterproof eyeliner as the Rimmel one I have is quite dry! x
