Where Have I Been?

This feels very strange. I guess you can say this post is just going to be where explain what the hell I’ve been doing for the last month. If you’d like to hear my excuses for neglecting my blog and what my plans are for over summer then I’d love it if you’d carry on reading. I promise there is some exciting stuff coming…

A lot of you may have been wondering where on earth I’ve vanished too. I haven’t posted since the 22nd of May, and June has pretty much ended. Well I don’t want to make any excuses but I have been very busy, and honestly, I’ve not really known what content to create for my blog. Obviously university got in the way of blogging because I had to take some time to revise for a couple of exams, and complete work for some important deadlines. Also I had a job whilst at university and I wanted to make as much money as I could to keep afloat for the last term. However I have some good news to share with you all. This time off as such has helped me think of what direction I want to take my blog, I want to keep things real, share with you what I get up to and what products I discover along the way. My blog is going to remain mainly beauty based, with a little mix of fashion and lifestyle, however I am aiming to create more lifestyle posts because I’ve recently loved reading more of this sort of content.
Now, just to update you on what I’ve been up to the last month. I finished my first year of university on the 1st of June, this was when I handed in all of my final pieces of work and could say adios for the summer. The week after that I made the most of being free from deadlines and had a fair few nights out with friends to say goodbye before we all left for summer. Straight from moving out of my accommodation- note to self: I packed so much clutter into such a small room- I headed straight to Bristol with my Mum and Dad, ready to commence my two weeks work experience at Fleur of England as part of their digital marketing team. I can’t thank the girls at Fleur of England enough for how much they taught me and how much responsibility they gave me. It was such a valuable opportunity and is something that I can now put onto my CV to help me when it comes to applying for a yearlong placement as part of my degree. After a very stressful train journey from Bristol to Norwich, I am finally home for the summer and now I have the chance to create some interesting content for my lovely readers.

I am lucky enough to be going to two blogging events in Norwich, which will give me a chance to network with other local bloggers and of course blog about the whole event. On top of that, my boyfriend and I are planning a trip to London for the weekend so I will definitely be posting about our adventures over the weekend we are there. I have a lot of new beauty products that I want to talk about which have just been sitting in my makeup collection waiting to be photographed so I can finally test them out. I also want to create a series of University posts to help those of you that are heading to University this year or maybe those, like me, who are heading back to University to start their second year. I definitely want to do some sort of Q&A style post so leave your questions in the comments below so I can answer them in the post.
Apart from that my plans for summer are quite vague, I would love to book a last minute trip abroad somewhere but to be honest after a year at university my funds aren’t too great so, I’ll probably have to wait until later on in the year for that.

I’ve made a few changes to the look of my blog, I bought a new blog layout and tweaked it slightly to my personal taste. I feel my blog looks a lot more professional now and really highlights the photography, but let me know what you think.

If you’ve got this far I would like to say thank you for reading this post and let me know in the comments below any posts you’d like to see on Zoe The Dreamer.

Love Zoe x
