Filmstar Bronze & Glow Goodness

Beauty products may not mean a lot to some people, but to a beauty obsessed person like me a special product really means the world. I was lucky enough to receive one particular product that I have been lusting over for a while from my super amazing uni friends and I couldn't  be happier to finally have it in my collection. Charlotte Tilbury has swiftly become a brand that has swept the beauty world by storm with its beautiful packaging and equally beautiful products. I was so shocked to receive this palette as a gift for my 21st and it is certainly a product that I will be keeping even after I've used up all of the product inside. I wanted to put together a first impression of the Filmstar Bronze and Glow to share with you guys and hopefully help you decide if it is the product for you.

I have the kit in the shade light to medium which is the perfect match to my skin tone. The bronzer helps add a subtle warmth to the face and isn't too harsh or orangey like other bronzers I have tried in the past. The bronzer has a lovely texture and blends into the skin well with minimal effort at all. Those of you that have been readers of my blog for a while will know how much I love my NARS Laguna Bronzer, however I would have to say that this stands up to the test so far. The bronzer does look like quite sparkly in the pan but it applies to the skin matte with a natural sheen to the skin, make your skin look that little bit healthier. The highlighter in this palette is perfect for daily use as it adds a natural glow to the skin without looking like a glitter ball. The shade of the highlighter is built up from a golden base that flatters any skin tone, and uses Light Flex Technology to capture light and radiate it for a luminous complexion. I find some highlighters I've tried in the past can be "too much" however this highlighter can be natural and can even be built upon for a bold night out look.

I would recommend you use good quality brushes, my favourites have to apply this product as the brushes make a huge difference when it comes to makeup application. Simply apply the bronze shade to areas of the face that you want to sculpt and define like the hollows of your cheeks, temples, jaw line and even use it to sculpt your nose for extra definition. The most important step is to spend time blending to create a seamless, natural looking contour that any makeup artist would be proud of. To add a slight glow to the face apply the highlighter to the cheek bones, down the center of the nose, the cupid bow and brow bone to help make the high points of your face pop.

I hope you enjoyed hearing my first impressions of the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette. I will make sure to keep you updated with any lasting opinions I gather about the product over the forthcoming weeks.

Love Zoe xx
