Valentines Beauty Regime Re-Fresh*

Valentines is fast approaching and I'm sure whatever your plans are you will want to look fresh and ready to face the world on the 14th of February.  Today I've put together my top tips to getting your skin looking fab and hair looking silky smooth ready for whatever your plans are at this romantic time of the year.
Cleansing and toning the skin is the perfect way to help clean your skin of any oils or dirt. Using a gentle face wash or micellar water will help to remove any excess makeup and will create a blank canvas ready for your moisturiser. Moisturising is a vital step in any skin regime so after cleansing my skin with a gentle face wash, I gently smooth a pea sized amount of moisturiser on to my skin. I've tried tonnes of products over recent years but my favourites have to be the Garnier Moisture Bomb 3 in 1 Day Cream full review coming soon and Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturiser full review here however I have been hearing a lot of good things about the L'Occitane moisturisers performing wonders on dry skin like mine. I popped into my local store and managed to get a couple of samples of their moisturisers. The staff were super friendly and told me everything I needed to know about each of the products, which ones would best suit my skin complaints and budget. I was recommended the Shea Ultra Rich Face  Cream  which I look forward to trying as part of my skincare regime.  I would definitely recommend that you visit your local store or place a cheeky online order and treat yourself to some luxury skincare for Valentines, I mean any excuse right?

Face masks are always a winner for me with some of my favourite being the Montagne Jeunesse masks however one I've been trying recently had gotten me hooked and it doesn't break the bank. Part of the Garnier Moisture Bomb range this face mask packs a hydrating punch and leaves your skin feels super soft. For such a small price tag I wasn't expecting much but I was blown away with the results after only one use. The Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask contains enough hydrating serum to keep your skin hydrated for a whole week, it promises to intensely re-hydrate your skin, provide smoother looking skin and give you a radiant complexion. I would have to agree with all of the promises this product offers and I would definitely recommend that you pick one up for yourself on your next trip to Boots, you won't be disappointed.
One area of the face that should never be forgotten are the lips, especially at this time of year. I often apply Carmex throughout the day if I'm not wearing a lipstick however over night I apply my NUXE Reve De Miel Lipbalm to keep my lips super soft. The product is thick in consistency but a little goes a long way to intensely hydrate the lips.

I always seek to achieve that super glossy salon hair look however it doesn't always go to plan. Since dying my hair I've found that the ends get super dry very quickly so once a week I apply a hair mask to help add some hydration back into the ends. Recently I've been using the Palmers Coconut Oil Deep Conditioning Protein Pack overnight to add oils back into my hair and I've noticed a visible difference. The mask itself is very thick so I make sure I run the product through the lengths of my hair before wrapping it in a towel overnight. I then wash it out with my normal shampoo and conditioner in the morning and voila shiny, healthy looking hair- it's as easy as that.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite beauty products to get your skin and hair looking healthy for Valentines. It's great to see that there are affordable beauty products out there that do great things for your skin and I hope that some of you give them ago if you haven't tried them already.

Let me know about your favourite beauty products you use to pamper yourself.
